A Project in Development
The Anatomy of Peacebuilding Ecosystem Map is currently in development. While the initial phase of data collection is focused primarily on the United States, we welcome interest from organizations working in other regions and anticipate expanding the project internationally beginning in 2028. By participating now, you are helping to shape a growing resource designed to support research, strengthen connections across the Christian peacebuilding field, and identify opportunities for greater collaboration and collective impact.
In time, our hope is that this resource will help make visible the broader ecology of organizations working toward healing and reconciliation, enabling leaders, practitioners, institutions, and funders to better understand the field, identify opportunities for collaboration, and strengthen their collective contribution to the common good.

The Christian peacebuilding field encompasses a diverse range of organizations, institutions, networks, and practitioners working across contexts, traditions, and approaches. Yet despite this diversity, we often lack a shared understanding of how these efforts connect and contribute to the broader ecosystem.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Understanding the Christian peacebuilding field is essential for strengthening coordination across the field, informing future research, and helping leaders, practitioners, institutions, and funders better steward their collective efforts.
Across the United States and around the world, organizations are responding to crisis, helping communities address the root causes of conflict, and building the conditions that make healing, resilience, and flourishing possible. Yet despite the breadth of this work, we often lack a clear picture of how these efforts relate to one another, where gaps and opportunities exist, and how the broader peacebuilding ecosystem is evolving.
The Anatomy of Peacebuilding Ecosystem Map seeks to better understand and strengthen the Christian peacebuilding field by identifying the organizations, networks, institutions, and practitioners contributing across the peacebuilding journey. By illuminating the unique roles organizations play in responding to crises, facilitating healing, and cultivating long-term resilience, the project aims to support research, foster collaboration, inform strategic decision-making, and create a shared resource for leaders, practitioners, funders, scholars, and institutions seeking to advance peacebuilding in their relationships, communities, congregations, and around the world.
Together, we can build a more comprehensive understanding of the Christian peacebuilding landscape and the relationships, capacities, and institutions that sustain it—strengthening the field's ability to learn, collaborate, and respond to the challenges of our time.
