We are a team of Christian researchers, practitioners, and theologians animated by a singular vision: To see the Church lead as agents of peace in a broken world.
OUR FOUNDATION
The Center for Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation reflects the Church’s calling to reclaim its vocation as a community of peace. Our mission and vision flow from the belief that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the active, Spirit-led work of restoring right relationship—with God, with one another, and with the world.

Our Mission
Our mission is to equip, connect, and form Christian leaders to understand the roots of conflict, respond wisely in moments of crisis, and cultivate the long-term relational and institutional health necessary for lasting peace.

Our Vision
We envision a Church with the wisdom, capacity, and competency to heal past and present divisions, faithfully bearing witness to the ministry of reconciliation, and participating as active partners in the restoration of all things.

We are guided by faithful discernment, rigorous inquiry, and responsible action in our work to resource, support, and partner with those closest to communities actively navigating conflict and pursuing peace and relational healing.

Our work is guided by the conviction that peacebuilding is both a theological mandate and a spiritual discipline. As such, we cultivate practices that form leaders inwardly and engage the world outwardly.
OUR BELIEFS
We believe the Church has a unique calling in this moment: to heal wounds of hurt, anger, and harm.
Today’s leaders often feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unequipped in the face of conflict, division, and increasing polarization. CPCT exists to help change that.
As a center within Fuller Theological Seminary, the Center for Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation benefits from Fuller’s rich tradition of integrating theology, spiritual formation, and practical engagement with real-world challenges. Being embedded in this learning community enables us to connect academic excellence with lived experience, preparing leaders to engage conflict with empathy, courage, and the vision of God’s reconciling work in the world.

WHO WE SERVE
We serve Fuller Seminary internally (faculty, students, culture, and curricula) and the Church externally (pastors, ministry and business leaders, congregations, and communities), acting as a diagnostic and resourcing hub within a broader ecosystem of Christian peacebuilding.
